2 – Does the designer have a large portfolio that they can show you? New designers may be just as good as the experienced designers but do you really want to be a guinea pig, while they find out exactly how the market works?

3 – Are they willing to work to your budget? Their quote should be exact and not approximately. Trying to find ten of thousands of dollars to finish the Project is only going to make you stressed and resent your new home design.

4 – Ask the designer if you can speak to any of their previous clients. A good designer only has clients that will rave about them,  so they should not hesitate in giving you names and telephone numbers to get in touch with the clients.
