Interior designers, after analyzing and evaluating the unique needs of their clients, they will incorporate their creative and technical expertise to the design.  The questions on what kind of furniture, where to put the television set, light and lighting fixtures, to put a separator between the kitchen and the living room or not should be well researched and integrated in the interior design plans.

While it used to demand much of  travel and travel time for the interior designers to do research and visit different places to creatively fulfill the social and psychological requisites of their clients, modern technology has now evolved for the client-designer interaction through virtual makeovers possible, more effective and less time-consuming.

Aside from the recognized needs of the clients, the design must not clash with the style of the exterior design of the house.  To conceptualize a vision of completeness, the design should be consistent with the architectural theme of the entire house.
